與其以低階硬體運行使用體驗不佳的 Android，Nokia 就繼續投放資源改善旗下的 S40 系統。昨天，Nokia 就發表運行全新 S40 系統的 Asha 501 手機。在硬體方面，它搭載一個 3 吋 QVGA 螢幕、320 萬像素鏡頭、並支援 2G 行動網路與 Wi-Fi。至於軟體方面，它採用了一個全新設計的 S40 系統，以及一個與目前只有 N9 和 N950 所採用的 MeeGO Harmattan 相似的 Swipe 風格介面，用戶只需在畫面上往左或右滑動，就可以瀏覽 app 列表、通知等頁面。另外，Asha 501 的其中一個比較大的改進是它終於支援多工處理（multitasking），與其他入門手機看齊。而價錢方面，它的售價為 US$99（HK$約768.2、NT$約2,913），並預計於本年第二季在全球 99 個國家發售。
